LARGEST UK DRONE LIGHT SHOW TO WELCOME THE NEW YEAR
The performance was part of the Mayor of London's New Year's Eve Spectacular at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich and Over The River Thames.
For the first time, the London Borough of Greenwich hosted the biggest spectacle of the show, marking the start of the new year in a dynamic broadcast across the city, celebrating the diverse cultural heritage of London and expressing hope and positivity for 2022.
The six minute show was broadcast live on BBC1 and iPlayer as part of a thirteen minute spectacular watched by millions of people around the world. The UK's largest ever drone light show was delivered by 500 drones to tell an even bigger story over the cityscape of London with the iconic skyline as the canvas.
Taking inspiration from festival and party themes, music moments, and sporting highlights, the show explores abstract and conceptual elements. In addition to Elton John's Keyboard, an explosive Party Popper scene appeared as well as a roaring Lion.
The performance drones were used in conjunction with pyrotechnics from Titanium Fireworks and lighting design by Durham Marenghi to create London's New Year's Eve light show celebration.
The company has produced some of the most spectacular drone shows all over the world, including demonstrations in the UK, Japan, Greece, Morocco, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, and the UAE.
